This page will show you how to make a scanned receipt a PDF document. Please note – HS Brands (Service Sleuth and The Mershimer Group) will NOT be accepting any receipts that are faxed. All receipts must be uploaded to your form in PDF format. If you have any questions, please email receipts@servicesleuth.com
For Windows/PC users, please download the free version of CutePDF. As an alternative, you can also use PrimoPDF.com. This software will allow you to easily take a scanned receipt in JPG format and convert it into a PDF document, so that it will be accepted by HS Brands/Service Sleuth as an attached document in a mystery shop.
Install the CutePDF software.
The read only screen will open in your default browser. There are instructions on how to proceed.
Open up your receipt (JPEG file) in the default photo editing program for your PC. Ex. Microsoft Office Picture Manager.
Click File, Print.
The Photo printing wizard will open. Click the CutePDF option from the dropdown and then click Next.
Then save the PDF file to your desktop or to a location you can easily access it. Your JPEG file is now saved as a PDF.
For MAC users, please open your receipt with the Preview application. Then go to file – save as. Save this document as a PDF. You can click on PDF from the dropdown menu. Save it to a specific location on your computer (like the desktop), so you can easily find it to upload into your shop.
